If you’re thinking of coming to Lisbon, you must know that the sunsets and the miradouros are a big thing. Also, the best way to see the city is definitely from above. This is why we created this article, for you to know where to get the best views of Lisbon.

🌅 Miradouro de Nossa Senhora do Monte: it is the highest point in Lisbon, so you could imagine how the view you’ll get is. From here you can see all the way to downtown, the bridge, avenidas novas and more, you can actually get a 180º view of the city. However, if you want to go there be prepared for the hike, but we promise that if you make it there, especially at sunset time, it is going to be worth it.

🌅 Miradouro de Santa Luzia: this miradouro in the middle of Alfama, one of the most popular areas in Lisbon, is a patio designed with classic portuguese azulejos or tiles with a beautiful view to the river. You can visit it at any time, but the best time to do it is during the sunrise, since the miradouro is facing the east.

🌅Miradouro das Portas do Sol: one of the most famous miradouros in Lisbon can be found a few meters away from Miradouro de Santa Luzia. Here you will get some very nice views over Lisbon colorful houses and rooftops or grab a drink at the kiosks around there.

🌅Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara: this big miradouro, that includes a little garden, is located in Bairro Alto, bordering Príncipe Real. You can have a good view of the castle from here and Lisbon’s colorful skyline and its apartments.

🌅Miradouro de Santa Catarina: it is a very nice spot to catch the sunset, usually with live music from street musicians. You can also go for a drink at the kiosk or swipe to one of the restaurants with nice terraces around.

These ones are definitely our favorites, so if you come to work remote in Lisbon we strongly recommend to go for a walk to one of the miradouros after your tasks to get a little bit of the Lisbon vibe and disconnect from work.
